Cookie Policy

Introduction

This Cookie Policy applies to information that Stova may collect about you in connection with your access and use of (a) Stova’s websites (including www.stova.io, www.aventri.com, www.meetingplay.com, www.eventcore.com, and any other Stova websites that link to this Policy, the “Websites”), and/or (b) Stova’s cloud-based event management and registration platforms, mobile applications, and other software applications (collectively, the “Platform”). In this Policy, the Websites and Platform are collectively referred to as the “Sites.”

Cookies and Web Beacons

Cookies are a standard feature of websites that allow us to store small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to our Sites. We use cookies or similar automatic data collection technology as visitors interact with our Sites to collect certain information about their hardware and browsing patterns, including:

Details of visits to our Sites, including date and time of access, length of time spent on our Sites, inbound links to our Sites or outbound links from our Sites, and the resources and content accessed and used on the Sites.

Information about your hardware and network connection, such as your IP Address, computer type, screen resolution, language, Internet browser type and version.

Stova uses the technologies listed below when individuals interact with our Sites:

Browser Cookies.  A cookie is a small file placed on a computer hard drive.  Web browsers can be configured to restrict or entirely block cookies, to configure cookie notification settings and/or to delete cookies already present on the browser or device.  Information on how to do this is provided by the web browser’s help/reference section. Limiting or restricting certain types of cookies may prevent a Client or Client Business Contact from using certain portions of our Sites, depending on how the browser settings are configured. Some of the cookies and tracking technologies that we use on our Sites are strictly necessary and they are there to technically enable the Sites and their components as well as to enable security measures. Strictly necessary cookies are activated without user consent because these are necessary for the Sites to work properly and in a secure way. All other cookies and tracking technologies not classified as strictly necessary are subject to consent from Site visitors. For example, event registration cannot be completed successfully if cookies are disabled in the web browser. Unless the browser setting has been adjusted so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when the browser interacts with our Sites.  For more information about cookies and how to disable them, see www.allaboutcookies.org.

Session Cookies and Persistent Cookies.  A "session" cookie lasts for a single browser session only and is deleted when the user closes the web browser. Session cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session.  A "persistent" cookie remains on the user’s device (even while powered off) until it expires or is deleted.  A persistent cookie will be reactivated when a user returns to the website which posted the cookie. We use persistent cookies to help customize your web experience when you return to our Site or a specific page on one of our Sites. Neither of these cookies can read or access other cookies or any data from a user’s hard drive. Further, neither of these cookies alone will personally identify a user; however, a cookie will recognize a user’s individual web browser or device through an IP Address, browser version, operating system and other information, and individuals who log in to their Stova accounts will be individually identifiable to particular Site applications using session cookies.

Web Beacons.  Pages in our Sites and our e-mails will contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags and single-pixel gifs).  Web beacons differ from cookies in that the information is not stored on your hard drive, but invisibly embedded on web pages or in email.  Web beacons permit us to track online movements of web users, for example: to count users who have visited those pages or opened an e-mail and for other related Site statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain Site content and verifying system and server integrity).  This enables us to provide an online experience more tailored to our users’ preferences and interests.

Flash Cookies.  Certain features of our services will use local storage, such as "Flash cookies" to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from and on our Sites.  Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies. If you do not want Flash cookies stored on your computer, you can adjust the settings of your Flash player to block Flash cookie storage using the tools contained in the Storage Settings Panel available  at the following link.

Cookie Categories

Below we list the different types of cookies that may be used on the Sites. To the extent any Personal Information is collected through cookies, the Privacy Policy applies and compliments this Cookies Policy.

The Sites use both 1st party cookies (which are set by the Site being visited) and 3rd party cookies (which are set by a server located outside the domain of the Site). Below we show a detailed list of the cookies we use on our Sites and the purpose for which we enable each.

Be aware that even if you accept only "necessary cookies," you still may see third party trackers that are enabled by services we use in our ecosystem, including Google components like ReCaptcha and Tag Manager. Third party trackers are enabled because these services may also have cookies or trackers that they have classified as strictly necessary to perform the services that we requested.

Another reason for seeing third party trackers on your browser is that you have already used or accessed a third-party service prior to visiting our Sites. For example, if you landed on our Sites using a search engine like "Google Search" it is likely that Google’s search engine may have enabled trackers on your browser (e.g. related to your preferences with regards to Google's own tracking technologies). You can read more details about how Google may use your personal information in this context by visiting Google’s Privacy and Terms.

To safeguard and respect your privacy we operate our Sites on a strict opt-in basis with regards to all non-essential trackers. Check the below section regarding how to exercise your rights and opt-out.
